Do you have a new business that makes products in an energy supply chain? The Energy & Manufacturing Startup Assistance Program is here to help jumpstart your journey with up to $2,500 in funding!
Whether you’re currently producing a product or planning to in the near future, this assistance program can help kickstart your growth and innovation journey.
Applications are open now and will be accepted through April 25, 2025.
This program is funded by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) through the Tri-State Net Zero Manufacturing Initiative ARC Grant. It is administered by the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission in partnership with Catalyst Connection, JARI, MAGNET, and West Virginia MEP—a collaborative effort to drive manufacturing innovation and strengthen the clean energy supply chain across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
You’re Eligible If:
- Your business was formed on or after October 1, 2022, or will launch by August 15, 2025
- You currently manufacture or plan to manufacture a product
- You support or aim to support the energy supply chain
- You’re located in one of 47 counties across Ohio, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia

This initiative is targeted to these 47 counties:
Ohio – Ashtabula, Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson, Mahoning, Trumbull, Tuscarawas
Pennsylvania – Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Somerset, Washington, Westmoreland
West Virginia – Berkeley, Boone, Braxton, Brooke, Hancock, Jefferson, Kanawha, Marion, Marshall, Mason, Mercer, Monongalia, Monroe, Morgan, Nicholas, Ohio, Pleasants, Putnam, Randolph, Raleigh, Summers, Taylor, Tyler, Upshur, Wetzel
